Decramastic roof tiles, also known as pressed metal tiles or Decrabond, were a popular roofing material in Brisbane in the 1970s and 1980s, made of galvanised steel with a bitumen overlay.
This form of tile is renowned for being lightweight, but often requires maintenance and replacement due to moisture damage, hail and rainstorms. Even walking on a decramastic roof may incur leaks and sags in the roof, which is why we recommend replacing them with a sturdier metal roof.
Due to the tiles being very lightweight and brittle, unfortunately repairing your decramastic roof is not an option as doing so can actually cause more damage than it already has.
